Karin is a multimedia artist who began practicing photography in 1970. Karin moved to Bisbee in 1990 and fell in love with the city, its residents, the border community culture and all of Cochise County. Cast against large corporate advertising competitors such as BMW, Karin received recognition from the Arizona Prisma Awards with a merit award for the communicating arts. She has also had several illustrations published in the journal produced by the Arizona Game and Fish, Arizona Wildlife Views.

Karin founded Coppertown Photography to capture the experiences and emotions of a child or youth during a game. It has since expanded to other services such as portraits, weddings and events around Bisbee. She takes her job as recorder of memories very seriously not only as a photographer but also as a parent. She wanted to record those moments for other parents.
